Finley Properties has officially acquired the former Lowe’s Corporate facility, a 440,000-square-foot building on 49 acres as of January 30th. Now that new ownership has been established, Wilkes EDC can work more closely with Finley Properties regarding additional marketing materials needed to promote the building. We were also able to add the property to our Building & Sites database. The database is marketed by Wilkes EDC, but it is also utilized at the state level so any client who is searching for properties in NC can discover what is available. The Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina (EDPNC) business recruiters bringing projects to NC depend on this database as the main communication tool with county economic developers to guide new company projects to communities.
To complement Finley Properties marketing efforts, LeeAnn Nixon will highlight this prime multi-use space at several upcoming state and national site selector conferences. One opportunity will be with our statewide economic developers association and another with EDPNC at the North Carolina booth at Select USA, an international recruitment event.
Wilkes EDC also plans to join efforts with Finley Properties and the Wilkes Chamber of Commerce to offer a local open house in the next couple of months.
