On Friday, February 28th, Wilkes EDC President LeeAnn Nixon and Vice President Robin Hamby attended the How Women Rise leadership workshop, hosted by the Surry Sunrise Rotary Club at Mayberry Meadows Weddings & Events.
The workshop, based on the book How Women Rise by Marshall Goldsmith and Sally Helgesen, focused on leadership development. Led by presenters from Debbie Laxer and Associates and Dale Smith Management and Consulting, the event provided valuable insights and strategies for women seeking to take their careers to new heights.
Bringing together professionals from across the region, the event emphasized growth, empowerment, and connection. Just in time for Women’s History Month, it served as a reminder of the impact of strong leadership and the importance of rising together to support one another in professional and personal endeavors.
The Wilkes EDC team was proud to take part in this inspiring workshop and looks forward to applying the lessons learned to further support leadership and economic growth in Wilkes County.
