The Wilkes Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon cutting for C’est La Vin Wine & Provisions at 718 Main Street, officially celebrating this vibrant and community-focused wine bar and provisions shop in Downtown North Wilkesboro. The event brought together local government, business partners, and community members to recognize this local business and its contributions to the downtown district.
While the Chamber led the celebration, the Wilkes Economic Development Corporation was proud to support C’est La Vin’s journey alongside the Town of North Wilkesboro. Last year, EDC President LeeAnn Nixon and Town Community Development Director Taylor Berry worked closely with owner Paula Horton, touring several potential locations and helping her select 718 Main Street. Their collaboration led to the business’s official opening on April 11, 2025, now a dynamic part of downtown’s growing energy.
C’est La Vin has been serving the Main Street community for nearly a year, blending curated wine with locally sourced provisions, and also received a $2,500 award through the EDC’s Spring 2025 Entrepreneur Grant Program to support early investments such as signage and furnishings.
